At South Gujarat Innovation and Technology Council (SGITC), we respect the intellectual property rights of others and are committed to upholding a culture of innovation, collaboration, and compliance with the law. We expect the same from all users, members, and partners of SGITC. This policy outlines our procedures in case of any intellectual property infringement claims.

If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been violated by any content, materials, or activities on our website or associated platforms, you may file a written complaint with the following information:

• A description of the copyrighted work or intellectual property that you claim has been infringed.
• The location of the infringing material (URL, document, or platform) on our website or service.
• A statement affirming that you believe in good faith that the use of the material in question is unauthorized by the intellectual property owner or its agents.
• A statement that the information provided in the complaint is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the intellectual property.

Upon receiving a valid infringement notice, SGITC will take the following actions:

• Review the complaint to assess its validity.
• If necessary, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
• Notify the party responsible for the content of the infringement claim and provide them an opportunity to respond.

If the person responsible for the alleged infringement believes that the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, they may submit a counter-notification. The counter-notification must include:

• Identification of the material that was removed or disabled.
• A statement affirming that the material was mistakenly removed or identified as infringing.
• The respondent’s contact information

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content unless the original complainant files a court action to prevent its reinstatement.

SGITC reserves the right to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers or deny further participation in our events, activities, or online services.

SGITC will not be held responsible for any infringement actions taken on user-generated content unless such violations are brought to our notice. All users and members are expected to respect and comply with intellectual property laws.
